We have always dreamed of our program helping teenagers all across Ukraine. And now it’s happened — we are officially in Lutsk! This is a story of how a single Instagram DM turned into real help for dozens of teens.

It all started with a DM

Last spring, colleagues from the Volyn Youth Center reached out to us. They have been doing amazing work with youth for 9 years, with over 50 successful social projects and strong trust in their region. They had been following our program on Instagram and felt it was exactly what they needed to support teenagers in difficult life circumstances.

From the First Video Call to Real Steps

We were, of course, very happy that such professionals liked our program. After the first video call, we realized we were on the same page. We shared the specifics of our work: how we form groups, how the methodology works in practice, and the results the teenagers achieve. In October, Rita Krusir the head psychologist and program curator of "Chance to Change" headed to Lutsk.

The ''Chance to Change" Program Scaling Stages:

  • Practice: We conducted an intensive training for local youth and specialists, where we practiced program exercises. Rita showed how everything works in reality.

  • Local Coordination: A manager in Lutsk joined our team, taking over all on-ground operations.

Full Launch: Lectures, Workbooks, and Supervision

At the end of December 2025, the program in Lutsk officially launched. Today, teenagers in Volyn are working with our materials:

  • Methodology and Lectures: Materials developed by our Chance to Change psychologists for fellow psychologists.

  • Workbooks: A unique tool for self-reflection provided to every teenager in our program.

  • Professional Support: We didn’t just hand over a folder of documents — we stay in touch. Psychologists at the Lutsk center receive regular supervision from our experts, where we discuss group dynamics and complex cases together.

"This case is about the most important thing for us: high-quality social programs can and should work in the regions. We provide the tools, and our partners add their strong local presence and heart," — Oleksandr Lantukh, CEO of Chance to Change.

Official Support

The program in Lutsk is conducted by the "Youth Centre LNTU" in partnership with the NGO "Volyn Youth Center" within the project "Youth Participation and Policy: Strengthening Youth Engagement, Governance, Budgeting, and Life Skills Development in Lviv, Volyn, and Zakarpattia Oblasts," implemented by the NGO "Youth Platform" with the support of UNICEF and funding from the German Government through the German state development bank KfW.

We are open to cooperation!

We dream of every teenager in every corner of Ukraine having a chance to change. If your organization works with youth and you feel that our program can strengthen your impact — write to us.

Let’s scale the support together!
